2008 VMCC Banbury RunIt's 1130pm - and these are only the Entrants envelopes, the Reserves will have to wait until tomorrow.....and then there are the Programme Advertisers, Display Stalls, Press, Marshals and more....

The Start Line at BanburyThe 60th VMCC Banbury Run - Diamond Jubilee!!

The date for the 2008 event is Sunday 22nd June 2008
The location will be the 65 acre Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon - J12 M40.

See http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/

We received 655 entries for the expanded entry list of 600 - what can we say!!.

The full entry list can be downloaded as a PDF and searched to see who is riding.

Our regulars will see immediately that we will not be starting the three classes in A, B and C order - but these classes will be mixed!!  The rationale is to ease the strain on the Timechecks and spread the load on the roads.  The interesting side effect is that we expect quite a few riders to ignore our advice NOT TO FOLLOW the chap in front and they will probably go on the wrong route....!!

The Autojumble will have more and larger pitches - see form below.

Onsite camping over the Saturday night for all in a grass field adjacent to the Autojumble.

The Souvenir Programme is now being prepared and will be available in early May.

We are now looking at other ways to make this Diamond Jubilee event even more special.

Competitors (& spectators) may arrive from 2pm on Saturday, 21st June but you will then need to pay the £11 overnight camping charge
    You can pay the
£11 per pitch (in advance) direct to the Heritage Motor Centre via www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk  or call 01926 645031 on a Tuesday to book and pay by credit card - there will be a booking fee of up to £1.50.   If you fail to pay in advance then the camping pitch charge will be £16 when paid at the Gate on the Saturday
We have a large camping field available and we expect many folk to make a weekend of the event.

Competitors will get two free entrance passes that will also allow free museum entry - so come on the Saturday!!
Additional persons will be charged as Spectators:       £5 per adult, £4 per child and children under 5 £free.
