  Spectating Advice

It is an early morning rise to see the best of the bikes that take part.  We can almost guarantee that there will be many bikes there that you have never seen before.......and being used.

The event is based at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon near to J12 of the M40.  There will be local signposting.   You may arrive from 2pm on Saturday, 21st June but you will then need to pay the £11 overnight camping charge.  You can pay the £11 per pitch (in advance) direct to the Heritage Motor Centre via www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk  or call 01926 645031 on a Tuesday to book and pay by credit card - there will be a booking fee of up to £1.50.   If you fail to pay in advance then the camping pitch charge will be £16 when paid at the Gate on the Saturday
We have a large camping field available and we expect many folk to make a weekend of the event.

The spectator entry fee is the same whether you arrive on the Saturday or just for the Sunday main event.
£5 per adult, £4 per child and children under 5 £free.

The combined event entry and museum entry ticket will be £10 but reduced to £8 if bought in advance - see above.

Cars and Vans - please use our free Public Parking area which is located about 1/2 mile north of the Main Entrance - there will be a free Shuttle Bus starting at 0830hrs to bring you into the Centre where you will be asked to pay the Spectator fee of £5 per Adult etc.

Motorcycles - please use the Main Entrance and park near to the old Control Tower.

Ideally, you should arrive from 0830-0930 to see the 600 pre-1931 bikes being fettled prior to the start.
Our Programmes for the event are essential and have interesting information on all riders and bikes entered.
Available in early May each year (see below) or purchase one with your entry ticket - another £3..........

The first bike leaves the Start Line at 10:00 a.m. and they depart at the rate of five bikes every minute with a full Commentary.

It will be midday when bike number 600 leaves and the early runners start to arrive back.
Most bikes should be back by 1500pm or just later.

The autojumble has around 140 stalls with all sorts of interesting motorcycle bits and complete bikes for sale.
There will be plenty of refreshment stalls onsite.   The Museum will be open.  There will be some interesting bikes on display.
Again there is another opportunity to see (and smell) the bikes parked in our Assembly area.

Our spectacular prize giving takes place around 1600pm in the Museum when the many trophies are awarded to the best riders and owners.

We do not advise trying to spectate en-route as the riders find it hard enough to ride these old machines in modern traffic without having to cope with spectators at the roadside.  Please give them a very wide berth, brakes have been much improved over the last 100 years!
