Dec 18, 2009  VMCC BANBURY RUN 2010 DATES ANNOUNCED  VMCC
The VMCC Ltd is delighted to announce that dates for the 62nd VMCC Banbury Run that will be held at the Motor Heritage Centre, Gaydon, Warks on Sunday 20th June 2010.
The Event.
With the support of our sponsors Footman James Insurance Brokers, Bonhams auctioneers & Old Bike Mart the format of the 62nd “run” will be similar to 2009 but with new routes and checkpoints to challenge the riders. Indeed, with 600 entrants the VMCC Banbury Run is the biggest gathering & run in the world for machines manufactured before 1931. Operating over 3 different routes which all converge back on Gaydon the Banbury Run caters for those who wish to enter a timed event or those just enjoying the thrill of riding with so many other Vintage, Veteran & Pioneer bikes.
All 600 places sell out before the closing date of 28/02/10 so it’s important that the entry forms which are available from VMCC HQ on 04/01/10 are retuned as quickly as possible.

Spectators.
The exciting news for 2010 is that for an all inclusive price of just £6.00 spectators can not only enjoy the day’s event & park for free but also get free entry into the amazing Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon. As in 2009 parking is close by the main entrance to the site which allows those visiting the autojumble to carry their purchases back to their vehicles without too much of a hike!

The Auction.
Following on from the enormous success of the first  auction run in conjunction with the event VMCC event partner Bonhams are having a sale of Pioneer, Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle’s the day before the “run” on Sat 19th July 2010. The venue for the auction will be Bonhams prestigious Saleroom at Banbury Rd, Shipton on Cherwell, Kidlington, Oxford, OX5 1JH.

The Autojumble/Club Stands.
Supported by Old Bike Mart the famous Banbury Run autojumble is always a favourite as one of the best sources of Veteran & Vintage Motorcycle spares. If you are interested in an autojumble pitch please contact Vicky Frost at VMCC HQ or email members@vmcc.net
We also have space for Club displays so the VMCC welcomes applications from Clubs both big and small who would like to have a presence at this historic event

Can you help?
This year the event is being administered from VMCC HQ but we still rely on dozens of volunteers to make the event happen. We always require marshals to help at the checkpoints on the various routes or on the site itself and can promise you not only a great day out but also a packed lunch! If you would like to help please contact Helen Bensley at VMCC HQ helenbensley@vmcc.net

The dedicated event website it available @ www.banbury-run.co.uk  which not only has all the latest event information, but also has all the entry forms etc to download in a PDF format as from 04/01/10.
